Description
Well worn Kriegsmarine blue visor cap for an officer in the rank of an Leutnant to a Kapitän. The cap was worn from 1940-1944 as noted to the sweat-band by the owner. He might have promoted to a Korvettenkapitätn in 1944.

Typical gold bullion stiching to the visor. Fine wreath with cockade. Removed cap eagle. Rest of the threads still in place.
Minor mothing.

Blue silk lining and celluloid diamond. "Sauerwein" named on a cloth tag.
The cap comes with an unworn but matching chin strap. The buttons holding it are missing.

Top not removable.

Nice cap which will be easy to complete!
