Interesting grouping to the highly decorated medical Feldwebel Sanitäts-Feldwebel Franz Auer serving with Inf.Rgt.42 and Gren.Rgt.290. Auer was awarded the Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class, the Krim Shield, the Wound Badge in black and silver the East Medal and the Romanian cross for medic service.
