This lot was purchased by Klaus Butschek from the grandson of the man on the period time photo, Andreas Gilch, in Feburary 2011. It is uncleaned and was just left it as it is. He found it in exactly the same house which is shown on the photo, a 150 years old farm near the Czech border.
Large "Bürgermeister Ortspolizeibehörde" wall plate made from aluminium. 42cm + 32cm. Uncleaned and untouched. Furthermore a framed photo of exactly this "Bürgermeister" (mayor) Andreas Gilch, his police ID card, his death card and a photo of the house as it is today. The police ID card confirms he was the "Bürgermeister". His grandson confirmed the plate was on their house.
