Important photos with original envelope sent from Generalfeldmarschall von Hindenburg (see sender note to the left bottom: G.F.v.Hindenburg) to Major von Weller, "Ersatz-Batl.Grenadier-Regts. König Wilhelm I" The envelope was personally written by Hindenburg. Ink. "Chef des Generalstabes des Feldheeres - Operationsabteilung." stamped. 20.8.1917 dated. Wax seal to the reverse.
Two original photos inside. One shows Hindenburg, Kaiser Wilhelm II and Ludendorff. The other shows Kurd von Weller, the recipient of the letter. Both within period time information written to the reverse. Excellent condition.
