Grouping to Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss honor ring recipient to Franz Hormeß, born on 20.6.1910. Hormeß served with Sanitäts-Kompanie of Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 54.
His Edelweiss honor ring is still part of the grouping and in very nice condition. The details of the Edelweiss are still amazing. You can clearly see the "1" which stars for 1. Gebirgs-Division. It is 800 silver stamped as it should be. Diameter: 20-21mm. Very nice condition.
Furthermore his personal period time initial ring. 835 silver stamped and maker marked. Engraved to the inside "P.S.M. Staffelsieger 1938". Gilt front site with initials "FH". Diameter: 20mm.
His Edelweiß cap badge as well as his "Geb.San.Kom.(mot.)" dog tag. Furthermore two rare "Gebirgs-Sanitäts-Kompanie 2/54 (mot.)" internal unit badges. One "EINSATZ KAUKASUS 1942/43" marked. Both about 4cm high.
Many postwar Gebirgsjäger related veteran's badge.
This grouping came of a relative of Franz Hormeß inside a carved period time wooden table case. Size: 17,5cm + 13cm + 6,5cm.
