Description
Document grouping to "Bordwart" and later flight instructor with over 6100 flights Fritz Binker.

Fritz Banker was awarded the Civil Bordmechaniker Badge and received a letter of appreciation of Hermann Göring for rescuing an engineer out of a crashed and burning aircraft.

An extremely rare certificate for the "Zivil-Abzeichen für Bordmechaniker" issued to Fritz Binker serving with Flugzeugführerschule Hannover on 17.7.1939. It was signed by the commander of Luftgau XI, General der Flieger Ludwig Wolff. Ink.
DIN A4 size. Two holes. Folded twice.
It comes with a letter sent with this document. It states that the badge was also sent at the same time.

Letter of appreciation sent from Hermann Göring. Official "Der Reichsminister der Luftwaffe" letter head. 18.8.1937 dated. Addressed to "Flugzeugmechaniker Fritz Binker". Göring thanks Binker for rescuing a man called "Schuetze" out of a crashed and burning aircraft:

"An der Errettung des Technikers Schütze aus den brennenden Ueberresten des verunglückten Flugzeuges D-AKIN am 13. August 1937 auf dem Flugplatz in Hannover haben Sie sich in hervorragender Weise beteiligt.

Ich spreche Ihnen für Ihr mutiges Verhalten und Ihre persönliche Einsatzbereitschaft meine besondere Anerkennung aus.

Generaloberst
(original ink signature of Hermann Göring)"
DIN A4 size. Two holes. Folded twice.

Part of the grouping are Fritz Binkers brown "Luftfahrerschein für Bordwarte", his blue "Luftwaffen-Flugzeugführerschein", his driving license and his international driving license (extremely rare). All with original applied photographs.

Furthermore other documents and IDs as well as three flight books. Prewar and wartime. The last page of his 1944 flight book states what aircrafts he had used as a flight instructor. The last entry dated back to 12.4.1945. 278.635 flight kilometer, 2365 hours of flight.

A folder with interesting war time and postwar documents. The best source to research his life and career. Binker served with a Wettererkundungsstaffel for example and with the German embassy in Warsaw what we could read having a brief look. Please see pictures.

A very rare grouping to a brave man.
