Early Heer mountain cap for Gebirgsjäger troops. Typical grass green (other than fieldgrey) colored cloth. Matching early Gebirgsjäger Edelweiss badge to the side. Correctly sewn on. Two typical braun buttons. Trapezoid cap eagle which is most likely postwar attached by hand. It should come with a hand-attached "t-eagle" which can obviously be replaced without damaging the cap.
Grey cotton lining. Unreadable stamped and "Hofmann" named. Brown sweat-band which can't be turned around. It looks to be somehow fixed to the liner. If that was a special manufacturing process of that specific maker, we can't say.
