Description
Grouping to Hauptmann observer and pilot Heinz Horst Staffehl serving with Kampfgeschwader 40, 26 and 76. Staffehl served as Kriegsmarine observer on several ships before he was transferred to the Luftwaffe in July 1943. The Honor Goblet part of this grouping is one of the very few awarded to a Kriegsmarine soldier.

Soldbuch issued in November 1939 by Fliegerwaffenschule (See) Parow. Late 1945 entries. Original photograph still there but loose. Swastika of the cover overpainted. All swastikas inside are intact. All pages complete.
Page 22 gives a list of his awards:
Iron Cross 2nd Class, Observer's Badge, Iron Cross 1st Class, Squadron Clasp in silver, Squadron Clasp in gold, Pilot's Badge.
The Honor Goblet is not noted in his Soldbuch for some reason but mentioned in the Wehrpaß.

Early 1937 issued Kriegsmarine Wehrpaß. Staffehl was transferred to the Luftwaffe on 1.7.1943. Original attached photograph. Full unit history including Kriegsmarine units from 3.4.1937. All ships he served on noted as well on page 18.

Awards: Sports Badge, SA-Sports Badge, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Squadron Clasp in bronze, silver and gold, Iron Cross 1st Class, "Ehrenpokal für besondere Leistung im Luftkrieg" (page 26).
A full list of all campaigns from July 1940 until 5.5.1945 including notes on enemy missions. Late 1945 notes.
Good condition.

Early DRLG ID card with original photo of him in Kriegsmarine uniform. DLRG cloth badge. A driving license of the "Deutscher Segelverband" as well as his Wehrmacht driving license, again with a nice photo of him in uniform.

His "Luftwaffen-Flugzeugführerschein" issued on 1.3.1944 and his "Luftwaffen-Beoabachter See (!)". Issued by Fl.Wa.Sch.(See) 1.

Early real silver Honor Goblet. Engraved: "OBERLEUTNANT HEINZ STAFFEHL AM 23.1.42". This goblet comes in excellent condition and must have been never polished! It is the darkest one we have had for a long time. The patina is untouched but will of course be easy to polish off if you prefer a shiny silver example.
"JOH.WAGNER & SOHN" maker marked. Stamped with half-moon, crown and eagle. "835" silver stamped.

Height: 21cm.
Weight: 423,3gr.

Finally his tombak Squadron Clasp for Aufklärer in gold. Unmarked. Very finish finish and patina. "H.S" scratched to the reverse. Nice condition 2+.  His 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class made by Meybauer. L/13 maker marked. Condition 2.
