Description
Original Luftwaffe Flak troops kettledrum banner. This example was used by I./Flak-Regiment 7. It it unit stamped to the reverse (please see close-ups. 
 
High quality banner made from typical blue Luftwaffe gabardine. A red section to the center showing a hand-stiched bullion Luftwaffe eagle with swastika. Black and silver bordering. Excellent detail.
 
Each section separated by silver double layers of Luftwaffe tress. Thin single layer Luftwaffe tress inner bordering. 
All six tassels are still there. Full fringe as well. 
 
Blue-grey cotton backing. Unit stamped. Six pair of the eight fastening cords are intact. One pair was cut off. One pair has one strap missing.
 
Nice condition 2. Only two really small moth bites.
Length: 198cm. Width: approximately 57cm.

The I.Abteilung of Flak-Regimen 7 was established in April 1935 in Wolfenbüttel. It was part of the Poland Campaign under the command of 12. Armee and of the France Campaign in 1940 under the command of II. Flakkorps. In June 1941, the I.Abteilung was connected to Stab/Flak-Regiment "General Göring" and involved in the Russian Campaign. It was later sent to 9. Flak-Division, 17.Flak-Division, 15.Flak-Division and 10.Flak-Division and ended up in Glatz in 1945.
