Nicely worn Luftwaffe M38 helmet which was only issued to paratrooper. This example is a single decal example. The Luftwaffe decal was nearly entirely removed. The paint is still great and of course the original factory paint to the helmet. Liner and rivets are original attached. The leather liner as well as the pads are still soft and in good condition. The stamps to the liner can hardly be seen due to extensive wear.
The chin straps again seem to be absolutely original attached. The screws fixing them show rust and look unopened. The straps show rips to the cloth backing. One strap is repaired. The front part came off.
"ckl" maker marked and 413?" lot numbered to the reverse. No shell size stamped found however the liner is a size 58/59.
