Description
Extremely rare Spanish Cross in silver without swords in case of issue awarded to Oberfeldwebel Lothar Uhlig. Uhlig was a young Legion Condor member and part of the Spanish Civil War.  Only 327 crosses of this non-combatant cross in silver have been awarded.

Uhlig served 4./Zerstörergeschwader 1 later in war and was awarded the Luftwaffe Honor Goblet (22.2.43) and the German Cross in gold (17.10.43).

The three original photos show Uhlig with comrades in his early days. The information to the reverse with pencil are not period time added.

Excellent Spanish Cross in silver. "800" silver stamped. Nice patina. A textbook example in condition 1-2.
Inside its original matching blue case of issue. Opening and closing correctly. Minor signs of age. Condition 2.

A very very rare award.
