A unique Third Reich period DLV "Deutscher Luftsportverband" wall display case to announce meetings and events to their members. A hand carved oak case made for "ORTSGRUPPE RÜSSELSHEIM". A nicely detailed DLV emblem with swastika to the top as well as "D L V" letters. Emblem and letters are extremely well made.
The case once had a glass attached which will be easy to replace. You can actually open the front however it is closed and the key is missing.
We are absolutely sure that many simple key will open it. There will certainly be a chance to make open the lock.
The oak case comes with two original chains were it was attached to a ceiling.
The reverse is also wood but got a oak veneer attached. Most probably to save some weight. It is a little wawed to the inside since it must have got wett once.
