An extremely rare early 1930s Latvian dagger. Most probably given to leader's of a nationalist corps. This dagger was made by the German factory Eickhorn, Solingen. The clean blade is maker marked to both sides.
White grip probably made from horn. A small "A" scratched to the side. Funken orange colored ornaments.
Gilt pommel and cross guard. Probably made from zinc. Aluminum fittings to the leather finished blade. All metal parts show the same gilding and patina and are absolutely matching. They were not screwed but riveted and rivets were never opened. Brown leather still soft.
Center fitting of the scabbard and cross guard shows a swastika.
A very nice and are dagger in really nice condition!
