1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class in presentation case

Description
A very rare 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class set. It includes a presentation case we have not had before. It was made by "L. Ostermayr, Kaiserl.Kgl.Hoflieferant Nürnberg" (marked to the bottom) and comes with a zinc 1914 Iron Cross attached to the top. Fine ripped silk inlay. Opening and closing correctly. Condition 1.
 
Iron Cross and ribbon bar. Full original black paint to the iron core. Marked to ring. Hard to read. Could be KAG.

King Frederick William III of Prussia initially created the Iron Cross as a military decoration on March 17, 1813, during the Napoleonic Wars. The Iron Cross was also awarded during the Franco-Prussian War (1870), World War I (1914), and World War II (1939).

The Iron Cross was usually a military decoration only but awarded to civilians for performing military functions in a few instances.
