Well worn Heer sidecap for a Nebeltruppe soldier. EM/NCO type. The purple piping was period time attached but the cap started its life as a Kavallerie cap. You can still see gold soutache left inside. However, the Nebeltruppe piping was definitely worn with this cap. Patina and signs of wear do absolutely match.
Early M36 machine-woven insignia attached by hand. Size "57" stamped cotton liner. Maker marked and 1940 dated.
One 2-3 really small moth holes. Well worn. Good condition.
