Original portrait photograph of Luftwaffe ace Walter Nowotny, awarded the Knight's Cross Oak Leaf, Swords and Diamonds.
The photo is decided by Nowotny: "Dem Fliegern meiner Wackeren "Zwoten" zur Erinnerung." It is signed by Nowotny.
The portrait must have been in a different frame once. The signed and decided piece of cardboard glued to the reverse must have been part of the original frame backing.
This frame is probably from the 1950s. The original owner (one of his comrades according to the dedication) could have re-farmed it since the original frame was broken.
Again, photo and ink dedication are absolutely original.
