Russian, leather-based cloth-weather face-mask ('Kälteschutzmaske'). The piece originates from a German soldier who presumably acquired it during the Russian campaign. The piece is constructed from brownish-coloured, fine-grain leather (that is slightly 'padded' and lined with greyish-coloured linnen). Both blue-white-coloured attachment-straps are present (but have lost some of their elasticity). The mask shows an off-factory makers'-etiket that shows various ('Cyrillic') text and date: '1941' (as can be seen on the pictures). The mask comes in a used and worn condition but is still functional.
