Description
SS (ie. 'SS-Verfügungstruppen') EM- (ie. NCO-) pattern, M37-model field-tunic ('Feldbluse M37') 'SS-Regiment "Deutschland" as was executed in greyish-coloured HBT-material (ie. 'Drillich'). The tunic comes in an overall nice (albeit clearly used- ie. worn-), condition. It shows a (standard-pattern-, greyish-silver-coloured- and machine-stitched) arm-eagle (being of the scarcely seen early-pattern!) period-attached (attached by means of 'zig-zag'-stitching by a machine). The tunic has no separate lining and bears a clearly present ink-stamp that reads: 'VA 1938'  (it is void of any size-stamps but these might have been washed-away over the years). The tunic retains all its (pebbled-styled- and aluminium-based-) buttons (of which a few might have been period-replaced). The tunic comes with a functional 'waist-adjustment'-system in place and shows the typical 'pleaded' upper-pockets and 'hidden' under-pockets (as were specific for this M37-model field-tunic). It misses, however, the shoulder-straps and collar-tabs but came with the period-attached, silver-coloured NCO-braid around its collar. Moreover, does it show an EM- (ie. NCO-) pattern, so-called: 'Rzm'-type cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') entitled: "Deutschland" attached (which is attached by hand). The tunic shows the 3-hole-attachment set-up (present for the belt-hook attachment) and shows some wear, age and/or staining (but is void of any real damage or alike). The tunic has an approximate waist of 88 cms. and will fit a medium-sized mannequin. Simply an early-period SS-VT tunic of great rarity!
