Description
Wehrpaß to Unteroffizier Viktor Sawka, born in August 1918 near Lemberg, Poland. Sawka served with Panzer-Rgt. 39 from 1940 until January 1944 when he was sent to 116. Panzer-Division, the famous so-called Windhund-Division. He served with Panzer-Artillerie-Abt.146 and Panzer-Brigade 108.

Uffz. Sawka was awarded the Tank Assault Badge in silver (Pz.Rgt.39, April 1943), the East Medal, the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Wound Badge in black. The Wehrpaß not only comes with a great photo of him on the first page and lists with all his units and promotions but also with a long list of his battles from 1941 until 1944.

Sawka was wounded 3 times. November 1944, January 1944 and March 1945. He must have served right up to the last day of WW2.
It was found with a worn Iron Cross ribbon inside!

Good condition 2.
