This Wehrmacht gas mask and can came straight of the veteran decades ago. The collector got it straight from him. Mr. Hattenberger served with 1. Komp./Hochgebirgs-Jäger-Bataillon 1. The can is very special since he scratched a nice picture of an Edelweiss, an ice pick, mountains and the sun in the background to the top of the can. He added his name and Feldpost number: 22489D. Tracking this number gives us his unit!
The mask is very soft and complete. Many stamps. The can really is something special! A shame it got the lower metal lug missing. Worth repairing!
