Personal card of Rudolf Hess. The card has been given to a hotel manager with a note of Hess written on the back of the card on 31.8.1933. It says: "Laut meiner telefonischen Anweisung ist Herrn Horn und Herrn Meier das durch Herrn Schaub reservierte 2-Bett-Zimmer zu geben. Rudolf Hess". It means that he asks the hotel manager to give a 2 bed room to Mr. Horn and Mr. Meier as arranged with Hess personally via phone. The room has been reserved by Mr. Schaub."
Hess signed his hand-written note and wrote the date on his card: 31.8.33.
The front of the card says RUDOLF HESS - Stellvertreter des Führers - Berlin - München. It is in used condition and has been found with two photos and a picture of Hitlers house in Munich in an old platic folder where it looks to have been kept over the decades. One photo shows a hotel: GASTSTÄTTE ZUR ALM. We are very sure that this must be the hotel Hess arranged the bed room. With a bit of research it will be possible to find out the city. The hotel might be still there today.
Extremely rare and very early card which originally came out of an old house about 3 years ago. We sold it to a customer who has now offered it back to us due to a collection clearance.
