Fine photoalbum to a Heer soldier serving with Infanterie-Bataillon 42 and 4.(MG) Ersatz-Kompanie 97 as well as 8.(MG) Kompanie/Grenadier-Regiment 245. He served a total of 6 years in the Wehrmacht, in the period of 17.07.1939 to 19.10.1945.
The first page of the album describes his military curriculum vitae from 1939 until 1947. The page was written by the soldier himself. Furthermore all photographs are very nice documented.
Roughly 172 photos. In the first time of the war, he was stationed in Capbreton (France). The photo show the daily lives of the soldier's as well as nice landscape photographs. On 16.12.1941 his unit was relocated to Winniza (Russia). Also nice photos of the soldier's life in Russia. Furthermore one attached death card of one of his comrades and three postwar newspaper cuttings.
