WWI FEA4 table decoration - Albatros BII
Description
Unique WWI period time aircarft model used as a table decoration to commemorate Unteroffizier Fritz Papst serving with FEA 4 (Flieger-Ersatz-Abteilung 4). He must have been shot down in Posen in 1916.
It shows a Albatros B.II aircraft.
Wooden stand with brass tag holding an 1914 Iron Cross.

A period time "one-off" model contructed from wood and metal.
Width of the wing: 58cm. Length: 43cm
Height once mounted on the stand: 35cm.
Good condition. Please note that the right wing was not properly attached to the body of the aircraft when photograph. It now is. It was easy to put back.
