Auction ended: June 9, 2018
Important Heer Panzer "wrapper" to a General made in 1944. It came with a postwar signed card of General der Panzertruppe Heinrich Eberbach. That however, that obviously does not proof its provenience.
Standard EM/NCO textbook black wrapper with original attached collar tabs. Silk pink piping. Aluminum skulls.
Removed breast eagle. Clear trace visible and threads left.
Loops for two awards and a ribbon bar. Loops for shoulder boards. Shoulder board buttons taken off, all other buttons in place and original attached. Clear traces and threads left of a German Cross in gold. Cloth type.
Silk lining. Reichsbetriebsnummer stamped as well as "H44" depot marked and size stamped.
Part of the tunic was the original removed breast eagle. A textbook General's breast eagle in nicely worn condition. Very dark green or black backing. Extremely hard to determine.
Matching nicely worn General's shoulder boards with matching gold color General's shoulder board buttons.
Rank of the shoulder boards: Generalleutnant. Slip-on type. Only two moth bites. Very nice condition with great patina. Less patina to the loop area where the buttons covered the boards which is a great sign.
Heer Panzer troops German Cross in gold. Black cloth backing. Original threads left. Original "D & B" price tag to the reverse. Good condition.
An exciting tunic with research to be done!
