Description
A very early Heer "crusher" cap worn by a cavalry EM serving with Kav-Rgt.5. Made in 1935! It still comes with the early grey-green cap band (Reichswehr style). Soft leather visor! Early first pattern insignia original to this cap. One prong of the wreath looks to be missing.
The piping is rather skin-colored instead of the proper "gold-gelb" however it is certailny a Kavallerie cap. Early skull badge (EM pattern) attached as only worn by Kavallerie-Regiment 5.

This cap came out of a old theater stock. Note that postwar inventory stamps were added to the origial silk lining. The sweat-band was professionally replaced.

Good condition 2. Only one small moth hole found.
Size 56.
