Description
Very early 1936 dated 4-pocket Luftwaffe service tunic for an Oberfähnrich (officer's candidate) serving with III./ Regiment "General Göring" which was much later converted into Division "Hermann Göring".

Cotton lining with size markings and a ERNST PRIEBE BERLIN (the unit was based in Berlin) maker's mark. "L.B.A.36" dated and "III./ Rgt. General Göring" unit marked. Furthermore "K.Gr.II/165" and "St.K." markings of another unit.

100% original period time attached insignia. Machine-attached collar tabs bordered with officer's piping. This Oberfähnrich also had worn an officer's cord around the collar and an officer's breast eagle. A fine hand-embroidered 1st pattern eagle (drop-tail) attached by hand. The Oberfeldwebel shoulder boards were sewn in.

A very rare tunic not only for its unit but also for the rank. Officer candidate's tunic always show interesting details which were sometimes against regulations.

Some moth damage.
