Extremely rare Luftwaffe Observer's Badge made by Richard Conrad / Gebrüder Wegerhoff. Fine tombak example in excellent condition. Typical "GWL style" finish.
What makes this badge extremely rare is that the "GWL" maker's mark is was overstamped with "RC".
Gebrüder Wegerhoff has likely sold some of his stock to a third party entity that added his own mark for result sale or distribution.
The exact meaning of "RC" is still unknown however a likely candidate behind the marking might be the firm "Richard Conrad" (RZM code M1/2).
