Wehrmacht Italian campaign walking stick 1943
Description
Impressive Wehrmacht personal wooden walking stick made from bamboo. It belonged to an unknown Wehrmacht Panzer soldier serving with a Panzer division fighting in Italy in 1943. He carved the cities they have been to the stick including two islands: "Sardinien vom 2.6. bis 17.9. 1943" and "Korsika vom 18.9. bis 26.9. 1943". By all this information provided, it will be easy to trace his Panzer-Regiment.
The stick seems to have been custom made in the "GAETA" area at Christmas time in 1943. A small tank was carved as well. he served with "II. Zug" as it says.
Metal finished bottom part.
Good condition.
