Marine-Chefingenieur - epaulettes in case
Description
Untouched grouping to a naval official and Marine-Chefingenieur serving in both, the Kaiserliche Marine and Kriegsmarine for several decades. He was a 1870/71 Franco-Prussian War Veteran and part of the China Campaign. He served in WW1 and saw service as a Kriegsmarine officer after 1935. He must have been serving for over 40 years.
This grouping was sold to a local antique store by his great-grandson. The antique store owner has consigned the grouping to us. It has never been available on the market so far.
There are documents available which however the family did not want to sell at the moment. Name as well as additional service time documents might be available in near future.

A fantastic pair of Kaiserliche Marine epaulettes for a Marine-Chefingenieur.
Each board with fine gold bullion fringe and its gilt engineer's patch. Fine black velvet backing to both sides. Typical black-white-red silk tress.
No moth damage or signs of wear. Minor patina to some of the fringe.
Fantastic condition and still in its original cardboard case including the stand and the protection pillow.
Length of the case: 26cm.
