Description
July 1940 issued Wehrpaß to Honor Goblet recipient Oberleutnant Gerhard Wagner. Wagner was reported missing in action during a night campaign over Normandy, France in August 1944 serving with III./NJG 5. He served as a fighter pilot with Nachtjagdgeschwader 101 and Nachtjagdgeschwader 5 claiming 13 night time victories (most of them in Normandy after D-Day!
 
Awarded the Pilot's Badge, the Squadron Clasp for Nachtjäger in bronze, the Iron Cross 2nd and 1st Class as well as the Honor Goblet on 12.8.44 for "besondere Erfolge als Nachtjagdflieger".
 
Wehrpaß in very nice condition with information on his units, awards and campaigns.  Original attached photo.
A campaign list on age 32. It confirms 53 "Nachtjagd" nicht enemy missions, 1 day mission and 13 night victories!
Reported missing in action on 3.8.44 in Normandy. See note on page 34 "Am 3.8.44 vom Nachteinsatz über Invasionsraum nicht zurückgekehrt". 
 
Part of the grouping are important photocopies of his aerial kill documentation as well as of award certificates which certainly attribute to research his carrer. Furthermore, a CV and detailed information on the US aircarfts he shot down after D-Day.
