1.9.1939 issued Luftwaffe Soldbuch to Oberleutnant Werner Friedrich serving as an air gunner with Zerstörergeschwader 2, Nachtjagdgeschwader 5 and Nachtjagdgeschwader 100. He ended up being sent to Grenadier-Regiment 17 on 20.3.1945 due to the lack of an aircraft. In only a few days of ground service he was awarded the Ground Assault Badge and the Iron Cross 1st Class in 1945.
Excellent Soldbuch which he had worn from the first until the last day of WWII.
