Olt. Südel - his father's medals
Description
Grouping to Knight's Cross winner Oberleutnant Heinrich Südel (1920-2011). Südel served as an air gunner and observer with K.G.55 "Greif". He was awarded the German Cross on 5.10.1942 and the Knight's Cross on 23.4.1945. Südel has survived the war and attended to many veteran's meetings. Photos of him taken in modern days are available on the internet. All awards and his dagger & sword were sold to his daughter and were never available on the market before.
His father's WWI medals. 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class medal bar as well as a single Iron Cross 2nd Class (KO) marked, a Bavarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with swords and a 1914-1918 Kyffhäuser War Medal.
