Document grouping to Leutnant Georg Nagel serving with III./Zerstörergeschwader 26 "Horst Wessel" and Schlachtgeschwader "Deblin-Irena" which is SG 2. Nagel was involved in the so called "Reichsverteididung", the campaign in Germany. Page 32 of his Wehrpaß lists the campaign with III.S.G.26 against "englisch-amerikanische(r) Angriffe gegen das Reichsgebiet" he was part of as a pilot. He claimes 24 enemy mission and 2 victories as it says.
Awarded the Pilot's Badge, the Iron Cross 2nd Class (28.3.1944)
Georg Nagel was shot down in Germany on 24.4.44: (im Luftkampf gefallen im Heimatkriegsgebiet). See page 34.
The Wehrpaß comes "Heldentod" citation dated 27.4.1944 and a 5..7.1944 certificate sent home with his Wehrpaß.
