Description

Grouping to Oberstleutnant Helmut Häuseler serving with Infanterie-Regiment 12 and commander of the Grenadier-Regiment 399 (a part of the 170. Infanterie-Division). Killed in action on 25.02.1945 at Hoppenkind, Ostpreußen.

- German Cross in gold on 13.10.1942.

- Heer Honor Roll Clasp on 7.10.1943.

- Knight's Cross on 14.2.1945.

The first two albums contain early pre-war photos and mainly document the military education. As well some civilian shots. Starting in 1936. The third album was created at Christmas 1944. The album comes with interesting photos of highly decorated soldiers, awarded with Knight's Cross, German Cross in gold and Close Combat Clasp. All officers of the unit are presented with a portrait photo as well as signed by them. Helmut Häuseler wears the German Cross in gold at this time. Each photo with handwritten information.

Total: roughly 400 photos.

Furthermore 24 period time photos and his visiting card, lettering "Helmut Häuseler - Öberfähnrich im Inf.-Regt. 12 - Blankenburg-Harz - Regensteins-Kaserne". Numerous handwritten letters from Helmut to his mother. Dated 1944.

A nice grouping with room for research!

Good condition.
