Description

Well worn "been there" 1st pattern visor cap made by EREL. A so-called "Schirmmütze alter Art" also known as "crusher cap". This cap was worn by an officer serving with the Artillerie or Sturmartillerie. It comes with a soft leather visor and red piping. The insignia are machine-woven. Both quite "sloppy" attached by hand, however, absolutely period time to us.

The sweat-band is EREL maker marked. The silk lining comes with a hand-attached name tag: "Olt. Lawatsch".

The cap is out of shape but can easily brought back in shape as you can see at the pictures. Being "out of shape" is quite typical for "crusher caps".

A great untouched cap in condition 2-3. Size 57. No moth damage!
