Description

Wehrmacht Generalstab uniform grouping to Major Wilfried Hille. Hille was awarded the German Cross in gold on 3.11.1943 as a Hauptmann serving with I./Grenadier-Regiment 459. Hille was awarded the Honor Roll Clasp of the Heer shortly earlier on 7.10.1943!

Hille was born on 14.4.1916 and served as a young Leutnant with Inf.Rgt.81 before the war. He was promoted to a Major on 1.12.1943. Please see next lot for another tunic to Hille.

Nicely worn "been there" uniform grouping in good condition.

Tunic with 100% period time applied insignia all over. Generalstab collar tabs attached by machine, machine-woven officers breast eagle attached by machine too. "Karmesinrot" colored Generalstab shoulder boards. The tunic comes with originally attached buttons all over and with clear signs of wear. There is not one moth hole and also no rips or repairs but the tunic is clearly sun bleached and most have been worn in the field a lot. Certainly not a Generalstab officer who served on the desk!

One pair of loops to his right pocket for the German Cross in gold. Clearly used loops which are 100% period time attached. The same with the 3 pair of loops to his left pocket and to the top pair which would be for a Close Combat Clasp or a ribbon bar.

Matching officers breeches with rare period time applied "Karmesinrot" piping. Leather backing with signs of use. Again, not one moth hole but a few small period time repairs.

Personal officer's leather belt with RZM markings to the belt and the buckle. "Kernstück" marked. Length: 96cm

A rare chance to get a true tunic to a German Cross recipient!

Please see pictures for more details.
