Description

Wehrmacht ornamented 4-pocket tunic to the commander of Infanterie-Regiment 92. It most probably belonged to the German Cross recipient (later) Generalmajor Georg Heinrich Zwade. He took over command of Inf.Rgt.92 in August 1940. He was awarded the German Cross in gold as commander of Inf.Rgt.92 in Russia on 28. Februar 1942.

Original attached Infanterie insignia. Machine-attached collar tabs, hand-attached breast eagle and boards. Two pair of loops for two awards to his left breast pocket. Small loops for a small field ribbon bar which is still attached to this tunic. Interestingly, there are two ventilation holes attached to the right breast pocket. He used to wear his German Cross by putting the pin through that holes.

East Medal ribbon attached with two rusty pins. Most probably not period time.

White piping to the vertical button line and a horizontal piping to the cuffs as typical for this pattern.

Tailor's tag attached to the green silk lining. No dame tag.

Moth damage. Condition 3+

Medium size.
