Description

Heer officer's visor cap, a so-called "Feldmütze alter Art" known as "crusher cap" amongst collectors.

An extremely rare example of a Wehrmacht chaplain with purple piping. Correct, originally attached, officer's cap insignia. Machine-woven examples only used for this type of cap. Hand-attached breast eagle and machine-attached wreath badge as it should be. Aluminium chaplain's cross with both prongs in place.

"Deutsche Facharbeit" marked to the silk lining with clear signs of wear. Dry sweat-band with some cracks. Grey color. Soft leather visor.

No moth damage. Good condition 2. Size 56.
