This item belonged to Gebirgsjäger Oberleutnant Stiefenhofer serving with Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 99. Apart from other awards, he was awarded the Close Combat Clasp in bronze for at least 15 days of close combat as well as the Iron Cross 1st Class. The grouping had been displayed in a box. All badges were attached to custom made trays. According to the wish of our consignor, the lot is now being offered separately. Please see other items to Stiefenhofer in this auction catalogue.

Soldbuch cover to Oberleutnant Stiefenhofer serving with Gebirgsjäger Regiment 99. Remains of his blood to the cover, caused by a wound. Most likely by a shrapnel. All pages are missing.
Only page 22 which lists his awards is still present.
He was awarded with Heer Long Service Award for 4 years, Austria Anschluss Medal, Sudetenland Medal, 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class, 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class, Infantry Assault Badge (in silver), Close Combat Clasp in bronze and East Medal.
