Early SS Service Dagger to SS-Oberführer Robert Wagner, leader of the SS-Oberabschnitt NORD. Born on 7. April 1902 in Rehau, Bavaria. NSDAP membership number: 145 301. SS number: 1672. The same number is engraved to the crossguard of his Service Dagger.
The blade of the dagger comes with the etched SS motto "MEINE EHRE HEIßT TREUE" as well as "Böker, Solingen" maker's mark. Furthermore, removed "Röhm" dedication. Röhm dedications had to be removed from all daggers after the Röhm Putsch in 1934.
Excellent black wooden handle with enamel SS emblem and a nickel-silver national eagle. Early nickel-silver fittings. Engraved "1672" to the lower fitting (crossguard).
Original black anodized scabbard. The screws were certainly opened once. Signs of use and three small dents.
Including leather hanger. RZM "...30/41" maker marked. The metal ring of the closure RZM "M5/71" maker marked. Clipper fully working.
Including a research file of his SS service time (photocopies of original documents).
