1945 impressive oil of a "Panzerschlacht" tank battle (Otto Bloss)

Description

An excellent oil, painted in the last days of WWII. Painted on canvas. "Bloss-Eisfeld" artist signature and "1945" dated. It shows two German "Panzerkampfwagen IV - Tiger" tanks in action as well as five Wehrmacht soldiers, who just jumped off the tank. In 1945 the unit PK 666 of the artist was involved in the campaign in Slovakia.   

Wooden frame. "100" size stamped as well as "196" numbered to the reverse.

Size: 110x101 cm.

The artist Otto Bloss (1898-1963) served with Propagandakompanie PK 666 as an Oberleutnant. From 1938 until 1944, he exhibited a total of 17 of his works in the art exhibition "Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung" in the House of Art in Munich. This was the most important art exhibition during the Third Reich. 

Good condition 2. Hard to find!
