A rare imperial reservist's mug to Infanterist Xaver Schessl serving with 11. Kompanie, Königlich Bayerisches 6. Infanterie-Regiment „Kaiser Wilhelm, König von Preußen“ from 1906 unitl 1908 in Amberg.
Excellent painted porcelain mug. The handle was made like a tree trunk. Fine colored pictures around the mug. Rarely raised design! Including a list of names of his comrades, who served with him. The lithophane bottom has a typical soldier and maiden scene. Well visible when the mug is held against the light.
Fine pewter lid with a "Pickelhaube" spiked helmet on the top. The thumb piece depicts the Bavarian lion.
0.5-litre mug. No chipping or damage.
