Description

An excellent grouping to Gefreiten Karl Otto Seuferle serving with 3./Panzer-Aufklärungs-Lehrabteilung Potsdam-Nedlitz, which was transferred to Panzer-Aufklärungs-Lehr-Abteilung 130 on 4. April 1944. The unit was involved in heavy defensive battles in Normandy around "D-Day". Karl Otto was killed in action on 8.6.1944 in Ellon (Normandy). Noted in his Wehrpass on page 34.

The grouping shows impressively the way of a young German soldier who made his way from an HJ boy up to a Sturmgeschütz soldier. He also served as a Flak Helper and with the Third Reich Labour Service "RAD" previously. On 29.1.1943 he wanted to volunteer for the Leibstandarte SS "Adolf Hitler" which is proven by the SS field postcard.

The grouping consists of his Wehrpass, HJ ID-cards, RAD photo album, insignia, side cap, documents, and photos. Including two nice portrait photos in Sturmgeschütz wrapper. Postcard format.

Good condition.

A stunning grouping with a lot of room for additional research! Please see pictures for more details.
