Heer M18 Wehrmacht helmet. This type was issued to cavalry (Kavallerie) troops a lot. A WW1 manufactured helmet which was re-issued in 1935. The helmet comes with both period time attached decals. The original fieldgrey color and the decals show the same sort of patina and look to be absolutely uncleaned.
There are black ink markings to the inside which read "54/64". The could refer to the liner size (54) and the shell size "64". There is another black number stamped to underneath. The helmet is "Papenmeyer" named to the inside with white color.
The leather liner is badly damaged. It was oil once. The inner aluminum ring is still complete. The chin straps shows serious signs of age and comes without any markings.
