Heer lion's head sabre worn by an officer of the Kavallerie-Regiment 10 Torgau.
An excellent and rare etched blade to three sides. It shows a cavalry scene and a Wehrmacht eagle to one side. The other side comes with the inscription "Kavallerie-Regt. 10. Torgau". Furthermore a national eagle. "Alcoso" maker marked.
Gilded brass hilt fittings with a lion's head on top. He has two nice red glass eyes. The black grip including the wire wrapping have been replaced (after 1945). The langet to the front displays a national eagle with swastika.
Original black factory painted scabbard. No dents. Including the period time cloth bag. Moth holes.
