Geschienter Vorderschirm und Lederinnenfutter. Stärkere Trage- und Alterungsspuren. Effekten wohl zeitgenössisch geändert. Doppellöcher vorhanden. Zeitgenössisch mit Leder abgedeckt. Gestempelt "1876" und "24".

Bavarian M1868 helmet for infantry NCOs. A so-called "Raupenhelm" with original wool "Raupe" (literally: caterpillar). Brass, gilt "L" (Ludwig) monogram front badge and the Bavarian crown on top. EM/NCO pattern leather chin strap with gilt buckle. Strap dry. Fitted onto brass end pieces wrapped around brass rings held by lion heads to both sides. 

Leather corpus with signs of age and wear. Cockade missing. EM/NCO type. Placed above the lion as only worn by infantry units. 

Leather lining. Period time extra holes. Small bits missing.
