Untouched Heer sidecap namaed to Gefreiter "von Wrede" (famous Bavarian aristocratic family). The sidecap comes with 100% period time applied insignia. Cap eagle and cockade are machine-woven and of the very early type they used around 1935/36. In fact, this cap was made in 1936 and is amongst the earliest caps we have offered in all these years.
It is ERNST ZIMMERMANN maker marked, "1936" dated and "1.Schw." unit stamped. Von Wrede served with 1./Kavallerie-Regiment 15. There is a size "56" stamp and one more unreadable depot marking.
Brass grommets. Machine-attached "goldgelb" color "soutache.
Slightly moth damaged to one side otherwise good condition.
