Description

Early M41 tropical army tunic as issued to troops of the Afrikakorps. A proper "issued" depot example dated "B41". Furthermore, there are ink size markings and a "Günter Vlol Breslau" maker marked. Brown linen lining. Period time attached insignia. Machine-attached infantry officer's collar tabs as well as sewn-in Oberleutnant boards. Hand-embroidered officer's breast eagle attached by hand.

This officer certainly had some changes done to the tunic after he received it from the depot. He asked a tailor to change the color to a more "M36 like" dark green collar. Furthermore, he removed the breast eagle for his officer's one and had the boards sewn-in instead of attached through the loop. This makes this tunic even more interesting and personal.

The buttons are all complete and attached with their original rings. There are loops for two awards to the left breast pocket as well as loops for a ribbon bar.

The tunic is in very nice condition with some signs of age and patina.

Medium size. Condition 2.
