Description

Exciting "been there" officer's cavalry sidecap worn by a the same soldier as a pair of shoulder boards with dog tag we have available in this catalogue. Search for 2000000388991.

He must have served with Nachrichten-Abteilung 175 and with Kavallerie-Regiment 13. 

Clearly worn officer's sidecap with 100% period time applied insignia. Machine-woven cap eagle as used for the "crusher caps" attached by hand. Hand-embroidered officer's cockade. Hand-attached "goldgelb" color "Kavallerie" soutache. Finally, a zinc skull was attached to the cap as only worn by members of Kavallerie-Regiment 13. Please note that one prong is broken.

Silver officer's cord. Sweat-band. Silk lining. Aluminum/iron grommets. Fine linen lining.

Moth damage. Clearly worn and with a lot of character. Size 56.
