Description

Grouping to Luftwaffe Knight's Cross recipient Oberfeldwebel Georg Lang. Lang was awarded the Knight's Cross on 12.12.1944 as an observer with Nahaufklärungsgruppe 15, the Honor Goblet on 30.4.1943 and the German Cross in gold on 16.8.1943 serving with Aufklärungsgruppe 12.

Large size citation for the German Cross in gold issued on 16.8.1943. Facsimile signed by Göring. Ink signed by Generaloberst Bruno Loerzer. Full size. Folded once. Signs of age. Condition 2-

German Cross in gold. Cloth type. Blue Luftwaffe cloth backing. Slightly worn and in good condition. Stichting holes clearly visible. Removed from his uniform once.

German Cross in gold in case of issue. A very nice piece with an interesting patina to the back-plate of the swastika. The cross shows excellent gilding to the wreath and was certainly not worn a lot. "20" maker marked to the reverse of the pin. Made by Zimmermann, Pforzheim. Collectors call this type a "light Zimmermann". No damage to the enamelled swastika apart from some minor scratches.  Weight: 45,5gr.

Case of issue with typical gold bordering to the top. Silk lining. Black felt lining. The spring of the clip is not working correctly anymore. Apart from that, good condition with signs of age.

Period time photocopies of his "Luftwaffe-Beobachterschein" as well as of three pages of his Soldbuch telling his promotions as well as awards. While the information are hard to read, you can clearly see he wears a Heer uniform on the picture.
